Abstract Energy cooperation is an important part of the Belt and Road Initiative. Countries along the Belt and Road are complementary with China in resources. Therefore, energy cooperation cannot only expand diversified channels for energy import in China, but also effectively drive the economic development of countries along the Belt and Road. At present, the energy cooperation between China and countries along the Belt and Road is still thwarted by China and foreign business environment. Based on the analysis of the current situation of energy cooperation, this paper makes a further analysis of problems and puts forward measures to promote energy cooperation from the perspective of improving the business environment.
