High Quality Development of the Belt and Road Oil & Gas Cooperation in the New Situation

Abstract Oil & gas cooperation is a key area of the Belt and Road construction. Currently, there have been profound and significant changes in the global political, economic, and oil & gas market landscape. Great power games, Ukraine crisis, energy transformation, etc. have had a profound impact on the Belt and Road oil & gas cooperation. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road initiative, how to promote the high-quality development of oil and gas cooperation in the joint construction of the Belt and Road is the key content to be studied in the future. This article takes CNPC as an example, systematically summarized the basis for high-quality development of CNPC’s the Belt and Road oil & gas cooperation, discussed the connotation of high-quality development of oil & gas cooperation and four suggestions for promoting high-quality development, with a view to providing certain support and guidance to other Chinese enterprises to participate in the Belt and Road energy cooperation.
