Abstract China has proposed the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, fully promoting green and low-carbon development. CCUS technology is one of the key technologies to achieve carbon dioxide emission reduction, ensure energy security, and promote sustainable development, and an important means to achieve large-scale low-carbon utilization of fossil energy. As technology progresses, the CCUS technology system is becoming more refined and advanced. This paper explores the research and layout of CCUS technology in the natural gas industry chain from the following aspects: the development of CCUS technology suitable for the natural gas industry, the construction of the CCUS technology system in the natural gas industry chain, the building of CCUS demonstration clusters, and the implementation of large-scale integrated demonstration projects across the entire natural gas chain.
